1. Organizer
The organizer is Till Werner, Switzerland, as operator of SetTrace. Contact: [email protected]. The promotion is not affiliated with, sponsored or administered by Apple, Google, Meta, Reddit, Instagram, Cloudflare or Supabase.
2. Eligibility and entry period
- Open to natural persons aged 18 or older where participation and receipt of the prize are lawful.
- Residence in Switzerland is not required.
- Only one entry per person and SetTrace account.
- The entry period begins on October 9, 2026 and ends on December 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CET.
- The drawing will take place on December 18, 2026.
- Automated, manipulated, incomplete or abusive entries are excluded.
3. Software status and warranty
SetTrace is provided as a pre-release version for testing during the entry period. The beta is under active development and may contain errors, incomplete features, display or compatibility problems, interruptions, and increased battery, data or resource usage. In exceptional cases, local data that has not yet been synchronized may be lost or a device may become unusually warm.
Participants should keep additional copies of important data, synchronize before signing out and regularly where possible, and stop using the beta if their device behaves unusually or becomes excessively warm. SetTrace is not a medical device and does not replace medical or professional training advice.
To the extent permitted by law, no warranty is given that the beta will be continuously available, complete, error-free, fit for a particular purpose or compatible with every device and browser. Any mandatory statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
4. Regular entry route
Before the entry period ends, a regular entry requires all of the following:
- use a valid SetTrace account;
- complete the beta questionnaire and accept these terms;
- voluntarily enable “Share technical error codes” in SetTrace;
- voluntarily enable “Share usage statistics” in SetTrace.
The two sharing choices are not required to use the app and can be withdrawn at any time. If withdrawn before the drawing, the regular route is no longer complete; the alternate route remains available.
5. Alternate entry without sharing
An equal entry without enabling technical error codes or usage statistics is available. Complete the beta questionnaire, then send an email within the entry period from the address used for the SetTrace account to [email protected] with the subject “SetTrace Beta — alternate entry”. No explanation or additional content is required. The odds are identical.
6. Referral bonus
Each valid regular or alternate entry receives one draw entry. After the beta questionnaire has been submitted in full, SetTrace provides a random personal referral code and matching link. The inviting participant receives one additional draw entry for each of the first three valid direct referrals. A participant may therefore hold no more than four draw entries. Every draw entry has the same chance of winning.
A referral is valid when another natural person uses the personal code during the entry period, uses their own SetTrace account with a confirmed email address and submits the beta questionnaire in full. The invited person receives no additional referral entry and must also complete either the regular or alternate route for their own entry. Once assigned, a referral code cannot be changed.
Self-referrals, duplicate or fictitious accounts, automated registrations, manipulated attribution and other abuse are prohibited. The referral bonus does not depend on a purchase or on enabling diagnostic or usage sharing and is available to both entry routes on the same terms.
SetTrace does not send invitations or request access to contact lists. Participants share their code or link themselves and are responsible for doing so lawfully and without harassment. When a link or code is shared publicly, including on social media, it must be made clear that the inviting participant receives an additional draw entry for a successful referral.
7. Prizes
Ten annual SetTrace Premium subscriptions are offered, each with an intended approximate value of CHF 40. The Premium scope available at redemption applies. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and have no cash alternative. Winners are responsible for any taxes or duties applicable where they live.
8. Drawing and notification
On December 18, 2026, winners will be selected at random from all valid draw entries associated with regular and alternate participation. A maximum of one prize may be awarded per person. Notification will be sent to the SetTrace account email address. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, another entry may be drawn. Recourse to the courts is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
9. Privacy and retention
SetTrace processes the account ID, account email address, questionnaire answers, timestamps and — for regular entries — the server-side status of both sharing choices. For the referral bonus, SetTrace also processes a random referral code, the technical relationship between the participating account IDs and the number of valid referrals. The inviting participant does not receive the invited person’s name or email address.
Workouts, exercises, body weight, workout notes, individual set data and contact lists are not accessed for the draw or referrals. Account-linked raw questionnaire and referral data is retained for no more than 180 days and then deleted or anonymized, unless winner records must be retained longer by law. Only non-personal aggregate results may remain permanently. See the privacy notice for more information.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the organizer and operator excludes liability for damage caused by slight negligence in connection with entry, use or unavailability of the beta. This includes, in particular, indirect or consequential damage and loss of data that has not yet been synchronized, insofar as caused by slight negligence.
Liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, death, personal injury or damage to health remains unaffected, as does liability in every other case where a limitation is prohibited by applicable law. Mandatory rights under applicable product liability and consumer protection law also remain unaffected.
11. Changes and final provisions
The organizer may adapt, suspend or end the beta or draw for technical, legal or security reasons. Existing claims will be respected where possible. Swiss law applies, subject to mandatory protections where the participant lives. If one provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
